A case for bodybuilding

If you want to look good and you want to play it safe, bodybuilding is the way to go. Bodybuilding doesn’t exactly have a reputation for being a safe sport (is it even a sport?), but again this perception is entirely misguided.

In comparison to popular team sports like, running, CrossFit, powerlifting, olympic weightlifting, bodybuilding training is:

very controlled

has almost no impact.

doesn’t involve much training with maximal weights

incorporates a much greater variety of movements (less repetitive strain).

This makes perfect sense if you rationally think about it.

Other team sports – football, basketball, cricket, hockey, rugby etc – involve a lot of uncontrolled and explosive movement. There is also a lot of impact to the body, whether it’s with a basketball, the floor or a 300-pound prop (rugby player position).

Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting don’t have much impact and are relatively controlled movements, so they have a several-fold lower injury rate.

CrossFit doesn’t involve as much weight, but there is less control, more impact, and more cardiovascular fatigue that makes it harder to maintain perfect technique. In contrast, as stated above, bodybuilding training is very controlled. So if you want to look good and you want to play it safe, bodybuilding is the way to go.

Bodybuilding makes not only a fit body, but also a fit mind. The word bodybuilding says everything. It is so easy to understand the meaning of this word and what this sport is about. Bodybuilding is the best sport when it comes to making your body proportionally shaped and fit.

This sport is not only about the body. More importantly, this great physical activity is about health, too. Are you looking for health benefits of weight training and aerobic exercise? Bodybuilding has it all.

Weight training and aerobic exercise can treat depression naturally. Bodybuilding, weight training and aerobic exercise increase self-esteem, improve your health and body, lift your mood, reduce stress and frustration, improve your sleeping patterns, distract your mind from worries and difficult life events and situations, help you gain control of your life, body and mind. I hope I have made my case on why you should body build.
