Dave Mohabir will lead Guyana Under-15 team again this year in the regional tournament.

The Guyana Cricket Board selectors have decided that Dave Mohabir will lead the national U-15 team for the second season heading into the Cricket West Indies’ Regional tournament set for Antigua and Barbuda from April 2 to 13.

Mohabir will have Rose Hall Canje’s Romario Ramdeholl as his deputy for a second time as well.

The team was selected by the junior selection panel, headed by formation national player, Andre Percival and including Balram Samaroo, Latchman Yadram and Denesh Joseph following the conclusion of the Guyana Cricket Board Inter-County U-15 tournament which was won by the Select XI, captained by Mohabir who copped the best bowler and most valuable player awards in that tournament.

Opener, Navin Boodwah, left-arm spinner, Arun Gainda, seamer, Arif Khan, leg-spinner, Dhanesh Persaud and wicketkeeper, Sohail Mohamed have all previously featured in Cricket West Indies Developmental activities and have, unsurprisingly retained their places in the side.

Similarly, Shane Prince, Zandon Rose, Razam Koobir, Jonathan Mentore and leading run getter of the Under-15 Inter-County tournament, Adrian Hetmyer have all retained their places in the side.

Emanuel Lewis and Trilok Nanan are the two newcomers in the side. Nicholas Lovell, who was in the side last year was named in the stand-by list along with Mickle Sharma, Thierry Henry, Feaaz Baksh, Nicholas Hall, Vishaul Williams, Krishan Silas and Brandon Henry.
