Dominic Macklingam, a 26-year-old taxi driver of Craig, East Bank Demerara has been jailed for two years over the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Macklingam appeared on Wednesday at the Diamond/Grove Magistrate’s Court before senior Magistrate Sunil Scarce where the charges were read to him. He pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced to two years imprisonment along with a fine of $75,000.
