Drugs storage was not in keeping with standard guidelines and policies

Dear Editor,

The video by the RHO (GDN) in response to the dumped medical supplies in Region 2, indicated the supplies were a donation by the FFTP Organization. However, the video response does not state the organisation made a donation of expired medical supplies, as might be inferred or perceived and is being refuted (SN Mar 30).

In the video the RHO clearly stated the donated supplies made some years ago, 2018, 2019, are now expired or can no longer be utilized since the items were improperly stored, not in keeping with standard guidelines and policies, in an untidy, bat infested room (this is an indictment on the regional administrative system in the poor storage of the donated medical supplies).

Expired medical supplies must be disposed of in the careful, prescribed manner. This is not the first time this has happened. It was not easily discerned whether the video made of the dumping was to highlight any perceived poor dumping ethics or if it was done for a moment of political glory.

Sincerely,

Shamshun Mohamed
