Broad St man charged with assaulting mother of his child

Musa Gray was granted bail yesterday after appearing before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on charges of assault causing grievous bodily harm and threatening language.

The charge against Gray (address not provided) alleges that on March 26, at Broad Street, Georgetown, he maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm and used threatening language on Mona Lisa Defreitas. The woman told the court that they have a child together and he had assaulted her prior to this incident but she never reported it to the authorities.

Gray pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of $25,000 on the assault charge and $15,000 in relation to threatening language.

The father of one is expected to make his next court appearance on April 21.
