Stage set for tomorrow’s KMTC CARICOM Horse Race meet

The stage is set for the Kennard Memorial Turf Club’s (KMTF) CARICOM Horse Race meet tomorrow (CARICOM DAY) at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne Berbice.

Fifty-five of the country’s top horses have registered to compete in the meet which will have up for grabs over $4million in cash and trophies.

The feature event over 7 furlongs is for horses classified G3 non winners and lower and among the horses entered are Nuclear Fire, Memories, American Traveller, Amerceable Kate, Republican and Pocoyo among others. At stake will be $500,00 and a trophy.

The race for horses classified L Class Open and the final race for J and L non-earners are both over six furlongs and will have at stake $200,000 and a trophy.

Racing fans can expect to witness horses like Miss Olympic, Top Rankin, Republican Two, War Time, Amazing Grace, Quiet Warrior Harianna, Cash and Carry, War Time and Asome Banner.

Sponsors include Delmur Company, Elcock Racing Stables and the Trophy Stall.

The day’s programme will be conducted under the rules of the Guyana Horse Racing Authority (GHRA).
