The family of motorcyclist, Selwyn Archibald of 735 Industrial Area, MacKenzie, Linden who died on Saturday following an accident on the Houston Public Road Park is not happy with the care he received at the hospital.

Selwyn’ s brother, Marcus Archibald who resides at the same address as his brother, told Stabroek News yesterday that the 36-year-old father of two had just uplifted his motorcycle from a company on South Road after repairs were done to the gear clutch and was returning home when he got into an accident on the Houston Public Road.

He said that he was dissatisfied with how the doctor and nurses cared for his brother when he was admitted at the GPHC  for broken legs, arms and abrasions about his body. He said that the nurses and the doctor ignored his brother who was in severe pain.

The police said that enquiries revealed that around 12:15 pm, Selwyn Archibald was heading south along the Houston Public road at a fast rate. While negotiating the turn at Rahaman’s Park, he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with the concrete lamp post.

Investigations are ongoing.
