Two women charged with assaulting each other

Ann Parks (address not stated) and Carol Austin (address not stated) both appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court  yesterday, before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly to answer to the charges laid against them.

It is alleged that on June 25, at South Road, Georgetown, Parks unlawfully and maliciously wounded Carol Austin. She also damaged ten louvre panes valued at $10,000 and one television valued $40,000, all property of Austin.

It is also alleged that on June 25, at South Road, Georgetown, Parks engaged in mischief to the annoyance of Tracey Andrews.

It is further alleged that on that on June 25, at South Road, Georgetown, Parks unlawfully and maliciously assaulted Crystal Smith. Parks pleaded not guilty to the charges and bail was granted in the sum of $100,000.

It is alleged that on June 25, at South Road, Georgetown, Austin unlawfully and maliciously wounded Ann Parks. It is also alleged that on June 25, at South Road, Georgetown, Austin engaged in mischief to the annoyance of Ann Parks.

Austin also pleaded not guilty to the charges and she was granted bail in the sum of $50,000.

The defendants are expected to make their next court appearance on September 6 for statements.
