CANU finds 127 lbs ganja in Crabwood Creek operation

On the 22nd July, 2023, Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit  (CANU) Officers conducted an operation in the vicinity of the Sea dam, located in Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Berbice. A thorough search of the area revealed several parcels of suspected cannabis hidden in a clump of bushes at the seaside.

The suspected narcotic was taken to CANU’s Skeldon Office, Corentyne Berbice, where it tested positive for cannabis, weighing about 127 Lbs. (approximately 57.6 kg), with a street value of approximately $17 million.

No one was arrested

Investigations are ongoing.
