CANU discovers $17M in cannabis at Crabwood Creek

Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) officers discovered 127 lbs of cannabis worth $17 million during a search operation on Saturday in the vicinity of Crabwood Creek, SeaDam, Corentyne, Berbice. 

 A CANU press release stated that a thorough search of the area revealed several parcels of cannabis hidden in a clump of bushes at the seaside. The parcels were taken to CANU’s Skeldon Office, Corentyne Berbice, where they tested positive for cannabis. CANU said in total the parcels weighed about 127 lbs. (approximately 57.6 kg), with a street value of some $17 million.

No one was arrested and investigations are ongoing.
