The Rosignol Fishermen’s Co-op Society Limited’s Interim Management Commit-tee’s (IMC) tenure was formally extended by the Ministry of Labour’s Co-operative Societies Department yesterday to November 2023.

The four-month extension is part of a Co-op department mandate to allow the IMC to put mechanisms in place so that the Society can be audited, after which the Annual General Meeting (AGM) would be conducted to carry out elections, a release from the Ministry of Labour said. This will then allow the Society to be handed over to its members

Assistant Chief Cooperative Develop-ment Officer, Suresh Jaigobin and Earl Morris, Director of the Guyana National Cooperative Union Limited were in attendance.
