Born out of this ethnic community’s pressing needs

Dear Editor,

The perceived de-recognition of the organisation born out of the U N Decade is peeved and up in arms against a recently formed ethnic organisation, which it sees as having the support and blessings of the government of the day, as government officials were present at the launch. But according to the chairman, whose brainchild it was, the organization was born out of pressing needs, particularly for the ethnic community it seeks to represent (SN August 6).

So instead of coming out swinging, bashing and brandishing look inward at shortcomings which gave the new organization the impetus to come on stream forging a vision which seems different from the one you have portrayed.  The founding pillars of the organisation are: ‘be kind, do ventures to assist the lesser off people regardless of race, politics or creed’. Think about that! Congratulations and best wishes as you forge ahead with your vision based on your founding pillars and principles.

Sincerely,
Shamshun Mohamed
