Twenty-seven-year-old Heamwant Charritar called “Rocky”, of Columbia, Essequibo Coast appeared virtually yesterday at the Anna Regina Magis-trate’s Court before Magistrate Esther Sam to answer to two counts of “Break and Enter and Larceny to which he pleaded guilty.
The acts were committed on twenty-seven-year-old Lateshia Devanand, of Affiance, Essequibo Coast on 22nd March and on sixty-four-year-old businessman Ramnaresh Persaud, of Affiance between 26th and 27th March at Lot 39 Affiance Back Street, Essequibo Coast.
The defendant was sentenced to eighteen months imprisonment.
