Lusignan Golf Club guard found dead with hands bound

At about 6:20 am today, someone called the Vigilance Police Station and reported that a body was at Lusignan Golf Club.

The Police responded and found a man (of East Indian descent) lying face down in the upper flat of the building in what appears to be dried blood with injuries to his head. His hands were bound with shoelaces.

Information received, police say, is that his name is Dalchand Dhanai, a 57-year-old security guard at the Golf Club and a resident of Lot 69 Lusignan Pasture, East Coast Demerara.

Investigations are in progress.
