A 17-year-old girl identified as Bella Douglas of Sand Creek Village, Region 9, died yesterday morning after she fell off the village’s tractor.
Region #9 police commander, Raphael Rose told Stabroek News that an investigation has been launched into the incident.
According to a Sand Creek Village Facebook post, Douglas who was a footballer, was successful at the recent CSEC exams. She was a part of the Koshardin football team en route to Shulinab for a match when the accident occurred.
