Roxanne Lawrie, a 42-year-old vendor from Charity, Essequibo Coast has been remanded over the possession of 12.8 grams of Ecstasy for the purpose of trafficking.
The police say that Lawrie was arrested last Friday at Charity Back Street, Essequibo Coast.
The defendant appeared at the Charity Magistrate’s Court yesterday before Magistrate Esther Sam, where the charge was read to her, and she pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor objected to bail, and the defendant was remanded to prison.
The case was adjourned to 2023-10-02.
