Albion fire victim receives hamper from police ranks

Wackindra Ramcharitar, a 35-year-old resident of Lot 61 Guava Bush, Albion, Berbice, whose house was completely destroyed by fire received a hamper on Friday from Police ranks in the Ancient County.

The ranks who were involved in the gesture yesterday were Woman Sergeant Williams from Albion Police Station, Corporal Mentore from the Rose Hall Police Station, Woman Special Constable Hunte from Albion Police Station and other ranks.

A statement from the police said that the initiative is in keeping with the Guyana Police Force’s Strategic Plan, one of the pillars of which deals with building partnerships with community members and lending a helping hand to those in need.

The recipients were encouraged to stay strong by W/Sgt Williams, and they were told that the Police would continue to assist in whatever way possible.
