(Trinidad Express) Another child has been killed overnight.
A 13-year-old girl and an older male relative were shot dead in a house in Rio Claro.
Teenager Andrea Lallan was killed in her bed, and the body of Sylvan Lallan was found in the living room.
They were both shot in the head.
The killings were discovered at around 2 a.m. at a house on Old Mayaro Road in Libertville.
A relative alerted the police about the double homicide.
Crime scene police officers retrieved eight spent nine-millimeter shells, and one projectile.
Snr officers Insp Mahabir, Sgt Maharaj, Sgt Ramsahai, and PCs Rambhajan, Gillead, and Barran responded.
The motive for the killings is not yet known.
