Guyana ripe for second CPL franchise

Dear Editor,

The building of a second world-class cricket stadium at Palmyra, East Berbice makes Guyana ripe for a second Caribbean Premier League franchise; all of the prerequisites for a successful move of one of the existing franchises or (unlikely) an expansion franchise. While Guyanese Kris Persaud is the obvious frontrunner to move his Jamaica Tallawahs franchise, all of the other owners must be eyeing the country with the most enthusiastic supporters. I look forward to the owners of the various franchises engaging in lively bidding for the right to call Berbice home. Berbice Bombers anyone?

 Sincerely,

 Robin Singh
