Four charged with wounding Capoey labourer

Four persons have been charged with wounding a Capoey Mission labourer earlier this year.

According to a statement from the police yesterday, Trevor Carter, 34,  was wounded on the 9th of April 2023 at Capoey Mission, Essequibo Coast.

Those charged were:  Sanchus Clarke, a 25-year-old labourer;  Eon James, a 28-year-old chainsaw operator;  Curt Hendricks, a 22-year-old unemployed man; and  Andy Hendricks, a 26-year-old labourer.

Curt Hendrick, Andy Hendricks and James appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday before Magistrate Esther Sam, where the charge was read to them and they pleaded not guilty. Bail was granted in the sum of $50,000 each. Clarke was absent and an arrest warrant was issued for him. The case was adjourned to the 18th of October 2023.
