The Ministry of Public Works yesterday said it is aware that multiple persons were seen cutting trees on the southern carriageway, opposite the Shell Gas Station at Ogle, East Coast Demerara.
Upon inspection by the engineers attached to the Ministry of Public Works, it was determined that the act was unauthorised.
The Ministry in a release is pleading with the public to come forward with information that may lead to the identification of the perpetrators.
Further, the Ministry is also calling on the Guyana Police Force to conduct an investigation into this act and apprehend all who may be responsible.
