A submarine cable is being laid in Berbice waters for U-Mobile which operates as Digicel Guyana.
A notice from the Maritime Administration Department (MARAD) in today’s Stabroek News notified all vessels operating within the vicinity of Everton and the mouth of the Berbice River that cable laying from the East Bank Berbice to West Bank Berbice began on October 24th.
The exercise will employ the S.S. Chaden and is scheduled to be concluded on November 5th.
