An East Canje Berbice teenager died around 7 pm yesterday after he was reportedly stabbed.
The deceased has been identified as Shawn Persaud who resides in Adelphi Village, East Canje Berbice.
Commander of Region Six, Shivpersaud Bacchus when contacted last evening confirmed that police were investigating a murder.
According to information gathered, Persaud and the suspect identified as “Lion” were at a location just over the Adelphi Bridge when an argument ensued during which the younger lad was stabbed.
Up to press time, the police were on the hunt for the suspect who fled the scene following the incident.
