Two arrested after shot gun found in mining camp

Two men were arrested yesterday by ranks of the Arakaka Police Station after they discovered one unlicensed 12-guage shotgun without cartridges in a mining camp.

According to a release from the police the ranks were acting on information in relation to an alleged simple larceny report when they raided two mining camps, one at Kamwatta, North West District and one at Skull Mountain, Arakaka. It was during those searches that the gun was found.

Investigation continues.
