Anns Grove to battle East Ruimveldt

The annual Limacol Secondary Schools U18 Football League will resume tomorrow at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, with four matches.

In the opening fixture, Anns Grove will lock horns with East Ruimveldt at 12:00hrs, while Carmel will engage Bartica at 13:30hrs, and Mackenzie High will oppose Santa Rosa at 15:00hrs. In the final match, defending champion Wismar/Christianburg will tackle Chase Academy at 16:30hrs.

Meanwhile, the event will continue on Monday at the same venue with another four matches. The first fixture will pit Anns Grove against Mackenzie High at 12:00hrs, with East Ruimveldt battling Bartica at 13:30hrs. In the third matchup, Carmel will face off against Chase Academy at 15:00hrs, while Wismar/Christianburg opposes Santa Rosa at 16:30hrs. The first, second, third, and fourth-place prizes are $300,000, $150,000, $75,000, and $50,000, respectively. The top two finishers will also earn automatic berths in the KFC International Goodwill Series, which is slated to commence next month and will feature participation from schools from Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica.

On the individual side, the resulting Most Valuable Player, Highest Goal Scorer, and Best Goalkeeper will also be awarded.
