Young Gunners, Money Team, and YMCA recorded lopsided wins when the annual New Era Futsal Championship continued on Sunday evening at the Retrieve Tarmac, Linden.
Young Gunners riddled Fearless 13-2. Rodensio Tudor led the rout with a helmet trick, with Ryan Arthur providing ample support with a hat trick. Contributing respective doubles were Omarion Ramsammy and Devonte Tappin, while Kamar McLaren and Demoll Werner scored one goal, respectively. On the other side, Nathan Moses and Michael Jackson scored one goal each.
Similarly, YMCA blanked Finishers 13-0. Jonah Simon found the back of the net five times, while Kevin Gittens recorded a hat-trick, and Dequan Wilson registered a double. Adding one goal each were Ryan Noel, Jamal Bentick, and Tyrell Stephens.
Likewise, the Money Team crushed Hillside 10-3. Ojani Whittington and Mark Jhalu recorded respective hat-tricks, while Tyron Lewis, Kentrel Arthur, Hakeem Haynes, and Jevon Bethune recorded one goal apiece. For the losers, Shequan and Shawn Archer scored one goal, respectively.
In other results, Haynes Ballers crushed the Gorillas unit 5-1, while the DC Ballers outfit brushed aside Anybody Gets It 9-2. The event continues tomorrow at the same venue. The other playing dates are November 17th, 18th, 22nd, and 24th, with the final chalked up for November 25th.
The winner of the event will pocket $1,000,000 and the championship trophy, while the runner-up will receive $500,000 and the corresponding accolade. Meanwhile, the third and fourth-place finishers will walk away with $200,000 and $100,000 apiece and the respective trophy.
