City councillors visit health centres, daycare facilities

The Social Development Committee of the Georgetown Mayor and City Council recently visited the Dorothy Bailey and the Albouystown health centres to assess their physical conditions and to gain an understanding from the medical staff of their operations and the challenges they face.

In addition to inspecting the two medical centres, the committee also visited the South Road Daycare centre, which is presently out of operation, to assess its infrastructure and equipment needs.

A release from APNU+AFC said that the visit was headed by  Kibwe Copeland, Councillor and Chairman of the Social Development Committee, accompanied by Dexter Forte, Councillor and Vice Chairman of the committee, councillors and committee members  Robert Wayne Masion,  Keisha Sertima, Aileen Chalmers,  Eslyn David, along with staff from the human resources, engineering, medical departments, and the City Constabulary.
