Existential threat seems not to be taken seriously

Dear Editor,

Is Guyana and Guyanese taking the existential threat posed by Maduro and Venezuela seriously enough? From this distance that appears not to be the case. Time for a ‘War Cabinet’ (think Churchill in World War Two) and much more simple sensitisation, as you Guyanese say, of the populace about the issues and the possible outcomes? ‘Jaw Jaw is always better than War War’ to quote Winston but preparedness is all.

Sincerely,

John ‘Bill Cotton/Reform’ Mair
