Massara, Sky Kings capture Lethem Super Cup men’s and women’s titles

Massara Strikers and Potarinau Sky Kings were crowned the Lethem Super Cup men’s and women’s divisional champions, respectively, on January 6th at the Wadapna ground.

In the men’s final, Massara defeated the Paiwomak Warriors by a score-line of 5-2. On the other hand, the Potarinau Sky Kings downed the Guyana Rush Saints 3-2 in the women’s championship encounter.

Meanwhile, Chavez Hendricks, coordinator of the tournament, said, “It was one of the best tournaments we hosted; the most teams we would normally get were eight or nine, but a lot of teams came as both north, south, and central Rupununi were involved. It was really good tournaments compared to the rest; we had some issues, but it was a good event, and we will iron out the issues.”
