Santos, Conquerors to battle in NSC/Ralph Green U11 Football Final

Santos and Fruta Conquerors will contest the final of the East Bank Football Association sanctioned NSC/Ralph Green U11 Football Championship, following semi-final wins yesterday at the Agricola Community Ground, East Bank Demerara.

Santos overcame Swan FC 2-0 on penalty kicks after regulation time ended at 2-2. On the other hand, Fruta Conquerors brushed aside Friendship All-Stars 2-0 in the earlier fixture. Gilbert Frank and Dane Vancooten found the back of the net for the Tucville-based unit.

The final will be staged at the same venue on February 17th. The losing semi-finalists will compete in the third-place playoff. The winner of the event will receive the championship trophy and 12 replicas, while the loser will receive the corresponding accolade and replicas.

On the other hand, the third- and fourth-place finishers will walk away with medals. On the individual side, accolades will also be awarded to the eventual Most Valuable Player (Plaque), Best Goalkeeper, Highest Goal Scorer, Most Promising Player, Most Disciplined Player, and Best Coach.
