Monedderlust, Cougars, and Fruta Conquerors recorded contrasting victories when the East Coast Mash Cup continued on Saturday evening at the No. 5 ground, West Coast Berbice.

Monedderlust dismantled Hopetown 3-0. A first-half hat-trick from Kevin Layne Jr. settled the outcome. Layne etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 20th, 23rd, and 28th minutes.

Similarly, the Cougars tamed the Western Lions 2-0. Alistair Drakes opened the scoring in the ninth minute with a header into the back of the net from inside the penalty area. The result was then sealed in the 46th minute, as Lomar Reid found the back of the net, slotting past the goalkeeper from inside the 18-yard area following a one-on-one situation.
