My frustration is at an end with Republic Bank

Dear Editor,

My bank account at Republic Bank Triumph East Coast Demerara was hacked in October of 2023. I reported the matter to the Bank officials who facilitated the completion of the necessary forms. I was told that it would take between 45- 90 days for the Bank to conduct their investigations. I checked in with the bank for an update and behold after 120 days I was not provided with a satisfactory answer.

Editor, my patience is at an end; I am tired and frustrated with this Bank. One of my friends who had similar experiences with this particular branch of the Bank told me that he had been waiting over a year for a refund. It is unacceptable for the management at this Bank to be so inconsiderate. Such actions would further discourage potential persons from transacting any business with this bank. Why should the customer, who ought to be protected by the bank, be treated with disregard?  This bank needs to do better. It seems that they are taking the Guyanese public for a ride.
