Buxton United Football Club will stage its annual general meeting (AGM) on March 24th, according to a press release from the entity.
The release stated, “The management of BUFC wishes to draw to your attention that at its executive meeting held on April 2, 2024, it was agreed that the mandate of elected officers of the club will be renewed on March 24, 2024, at its Annual General Meeting. The aforementioned activity will take place in accordance with the club’s constitution as set out in Articles 33 and 27.”
According to the release, the mandate of a member of the executive committee shall begin immediately upon the conclusion of the AGM and last for the duration of two years, subject to exceptional circumstances.
The correspondence stated, “(1) The Annual General Meeting shall be held every year on or before March 30. (2) The Executive Committee shall fix the place and date. The members shall receive the notification at least 14 (fourteen) days in advance. Notice of the AGM shall be made by hard copy, email, and/or advertisement in at least one (one) issue of a local newspaper in general circulation in the Republic of Guyana or by hand delivery. (J) The formal convocation shall be made in writing at least one week before the date of the Annual General Meeting. This convocation shall contain the agenda, the annual club’s report, the financial statements, the independent external auditors’ report, and any other relevant documents.”
