The backlog of applications in Region Three will be addressed soon, as the Ministry is gearing up for the allocation of approximately 3,000 residential lots at Wales, West Bank Demerara, according to a release from the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHPA).

The announcement was made on Tuesday evening by Housing and Water Minister, Collin Croal, during a community meeting at Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara.

The release said that the Minister told residents that the flagship Dream Realised exercise is aimed at addressing the needs of persons who have applications dated 2019 and prior and is slated for April 5th and 6th, 2024.

In addition to the allocation of house lots, the Minister said that the agency is also exploring the possibility of constructing more turn-key units to suit the various income brackets.
