Archery Guyana, the body responsible for archery in Guyana as sanctioned by the World Archery Association, has published a groundbreaking ‘Archery Coaching Manual’ to help all local archery enthusiasts and aspiring archers at all levels using world standard practices.

According to the body, “This First Edition Coaching Manual is aimed at revolutionising the way archery is taught and practiced in all regions of the country”.

“The Archery Coaching Manual serves as a comprehensive guide designed to provide coaches, instructors, and archers of all levels with the knowledge, techniques, and strategies needed to excel in the sport. The manual covers every aspect of archery in detail, making it an indispensable resource for anyone passionate about the sport”.

In a release to the media, Archery Guyana’s Head Coach Nicholas Hing stated; “We are thrilled to introduce the Archery Coaching Manual to the archery community in Guyana. This manual represents years of expertise and experience distilled into a comprehensive guide that will empower coaches and archers to reach their full potential.”

The manual is a combined effort between top archery experts and coaches from around the world and olympic level, and reflects the latest advancements and best practices in the sport.

According to Archery Guyana, the manual comes with easy-to-follow instructions, detailed illustrations, practical tips and is “suitable for archers of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to seasoned competitors”.

Additionally, President of Archery Guyana, Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon noted;  “Whether you are a beginner picking up a bow for the first time or a seasoned archer honing your skills, this coaching manual is designed to be your comprehensive guide to mastering the art of archery.”

Persaud-McKinnon in the release, extended thanks to the “World Archery Team, in particular, Mr. Sergio Font, Secretary General of World Archery Americas, Mr. Phil Graves and Ms. Ludys Tejada”. She also singled out Guyanese Ryan McKinnon, Robert Singh, Nicholas Hing, Umasankar Madray, Jeewanram Persaud and Saeed Karim for their contributions to the manual.
