Tyreece Gonsalves, 21, of Parika Backdam, was on Friday jailed for 40 months for burglary, the police said yesterday in a release.
He is accused of committing the act on Mahendra Narine of Pomona, Essequibo Coast and Hemant Persaud of Middlesex, Essequibo Coast. The incidents occurred between Thursday, 15th of February, 2024, and Friday, 16th of February 2024.
On Friday, 8th of March 2024, the cases was heard at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Esther Sam.
The prosecutor applied the Administration of Justice Act and the defendant pleaded guilty to both charges. He was sentenced to forty months imprisonment on each offence. The two sentences will run concurrently.
