The Rotary Club of Garden City Georgetown has installed peace poles and mental health benches at various locations in the city, including the Bishops’ High School, signalling a commitment to fostering peace and harmony within the community.

This initiative seeks to create inclusive and safe spaces where students can gather, reflect, and engage in dialogue, ultimately fostering a peaceful and cooperative learning environment. The goal is to instill these values from a young age, the club said.

Providing a platform for dialogue and reflection, the peace poles and benches serve as tangible symbols of the club’s dedication to fostering a culture of peace and cooperation, setting a positive example for future generations.
