Police to step up patrols on Linden-Lethem trail

In anticipation of the upcoming Rupununi Ranchers’ Rodeo 2024, the Guyana Police Force’s Traffic Officer, in collaboration with the Regional Division #10 Commander is alerting attendees to safety measures.

1. anti-Crime Patrol: There will be increased visibility of Police Ranks along the Linden-Lethem trail to mitigate against acts of robbery. The Guyana Police Force is committed to maintaining a secure environment throughout the event, a release yesterday from the police said.

2. Escort Service: If persons require ‘Escort services’ to travel along the Linden- Lethem road for the Rodeo event, they can contact the Commander Region #10 Guy Nurse on Telephone #652-4283. Escorts will be available at ‘specific times’: 6 am, 1 pm, 8pm and 01:00 hrs in the morning, starting from March 27th (Wednesday) until April 2nd (Tuesday).

Top Cop Mr Clifton Hicken has assured that there will be an adequate number of Police and Traffic Ranks deployed along the Linden-Lethem road and at the venue itself to ensure the Rodeo’s success. The Police and Traffic ranks will also provide coverage throughout Region Nine.

This Police posture along the entire Linden-Lethem trail will commence on March 27th (Wednesday) and continue until April 2nd (Tuesday).
