A 43-year-old labourer of Belmont, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara was yesterday placed on $75,000 bail when he appeared before Magistrate Allan Wilson charged with the possession of narcotics with the intent to traffic.
According to a police press release, Fitzroy Roberts, a mason, pleaded not guilty to the charge and will appear in court again today.
The police said that the man was arrested with the alleged drugs on Friday last.
