A fisherman of Mon Repos, North Squatting Area, East Coast Demerara, appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Abigail Gibbs where he was charged with possession of narcotics.
Gildarie Persaud, 48, of Mon Repos, pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to seven days of community service.
Persaud was arrested during a police raid on Thursday.
