Colin Moore returned as customs brokers association President

The Guyana Customs House Brokers and Clerks Association held their AGM on Saturday May 4th and Colin Moore was returned unopposed as the President for a second term.

A release from the Association yesterday said that Moore appealed to the members to strive for unity and upliftment of standards in the face of the exponential growth in the economy. He urged them to become competitive in the light of the opportunities from the Oil and Gas sector and all the other support sectors and services that have already seen massive growth in the country.

The release said that the new Executives intend to build “invaluable partnerships” with the Guyana Revenue Authority,  regulators, policymakers, and regional and international organizations in its quest for ensuring trade facilitation.

The Association’s elected members are as follows: Front row seated: Christopher Matthias -Vice President; Donna Chung – Secretary; Colin Moore – President; Arlene Hicken – Committee Member. Rear row standing: Ameer Baksh – Committee Member; Lloyd Bart – Committee Member; Heamraj Singh – Committee Member; Shawn Holder – Asst. Secretary Treasurer; John Bennett – Committee Member; Rodney McDonald – Treasurer.
