Jermaine Williams, 31, a boat captain of Leonora, West Coast Demerara, appeared yesterday at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Teriq Mohamed where he was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm without a licence, and unlawful possession of ammunition without a licence.
Williams entered a plea of not guilty to both charges and was granted bail in the amounts of $200,000 and $100,000 respectively.
The case was adjourned to June 3.
