Vengy defeated Classic Ball Blasters (CBB) by a 3-2 score when the Demerara Volleyball Association’s (DVA) Senior Men’s League continued yesterday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
Vengy grabbed the initial lead as they won the first set 25-21. However, CBB equalised in the second stanza as they prevailed 25-14. CBB then took the lead at 2-1 as they won the third set 25-18.
Vengy responded in the fourth set to level proceedings at 2-2 as they edged CBB 30-28. Vengy then completed the come-from-behind win as they prevailed in the fifth set 15-9.
