Police ranks of Regional Division 4’B’ discovered over 90 grammes of cannabis on Thursday at two separate stalls at the Soesdyke Junction, East Bank Demerara and at the Doubles Corner, Kuru Kururu, during an operation conducted within the Timehri police district.
The police release stated that a 23-year-old man of Kuru Kururu was also apprehended with a quantity of cannabis after he was stopped and searched during the operation. He was arrested and placed in custody.
The suspected cannabis found at Doubles Corner and at the Junction when weighed amounted to 50.5 grammes and 40.7 grammes, respectively.
The narcotics found on the 23-year-old amounted to 20.5 grammes.
Investigations are ongoing.
