LUCAS STOCK INDEX (LSI)
The Lucas Stock Index fell 0.612 percent on the sale of 166,739 shares during the third period of trading in May 2024. Seven stocks traded this week, and the activities produced one Climber and four Tumblers, resulting in the index losing about G$4.5B in value.
The stock price of Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) rose 4.595 percent on the sale of 952 shares.
In contrast, the stock price of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) fell 2.111 percent on the sale of 42,310 shares while the stock price of Banks DIH (DIH) fell 1.818 on the sale of 119,969 shares. In addition, the stock price of Demerara Bank Limited (DBL) fell 1.130 percent on the sale of 1,380 shares and that of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) fell 0.407 percent on the sale of 100 shares.
In the meanwhile, the stock price of Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) and Sterling Products Limited (SPL) remained unchanged on the sale of 1,724 and 304 shares respectively.
