Third life sentence for man over rape of child

Sheldon Lynch, who was convicted of child-rape in March and dealt two consecutive life sentences, was yesterday served another sentence of life imprisonment, after a 12-member jury unanimously found him guilty of raping a child under 16.

American Chamber of Commerce to be set up in Guyana

Deal with UK firm to aid high-tech surveying

The Guyana Lands and Surveys Commission (GLSC) has signed a $93-million contract with the British firm Ordnance Survey International (OSI) to provide consultancy services to the GLSC to establish the Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) network in Guyana.
