Caribbean faces hard road to recovery after Irma’s ravages

VARADERO, Cuba, (Reuters) – From Cuba to Antigua, Caribbean islanders began counting the cost of Hurricane Irma yesterday after the brutal storm left a trail of death, destruction and chaos that could take the tourist-dependent region years to recover from.

CANU finds 75 lbs ganja at Norton St house

Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) ranks conducted a raid at about 6 am today at a house on the corner of Camp and Norton streets Georgetown and uncovered bulk parcels of suspected marijuana contained in two barrels and two boxes, a release from CANU said.
