Nandlall queries role of UK expert in SOCU work

Former Attorney General Anil Nandlall today queried the role of UK expert Sam Sittlington in the operations of the Special Organised Crime Unit which saw the arrest of former President Bharrat Jagdeo on Tuesday and the questioning of several former PPP/C Ministers.

Special Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) investigations continued yesterday into the sale of lands in the controversial ‘Pradoville 2’ housing scheme with former Prime Minister Samuel Hinds facing questions on his role in the removing of a transmitting mast from the community to clear the way for houses to be built.

Former Chief of Staff of the Guyana Defence Force, retired Rear Admiral Gary Best, and current Director of Public Prosecutions, Shalimar Ali-Hack, will also be questioned by the Special Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) as part of its criminal investigation of the sale of lands in the controversial ‘Pradoville 2’ housing scheme.
