PNCR to hold congress from June 28 to 30

The Central Executive Committee of the People’s National Congress Reform decided at its meeting last Wednesday that the Party’s 22nd Biennial Delegates Congress will be held over three days from Friday, 28th June to Sunday, 30th June 2024.

Guard charged with murder of boy, 16

Twenty-one-year-old Keron Boyer, a security officer, appeared yesterday before Chief Magistrate (ag) Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where he was charged with the murder of 16-year-old Benjamin Seaford.

Edinburgh man jailed for four years over 22 kg cannabis

Eusi Wilson yesterday appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus  at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, where he was sentenced to four years imprisonment and fined $19,800,000 in relation to the possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking to wit 22kgs of cannabis, CANU said yesterday.

Amerindian village elections get underway

The Amerindian Village Elections got underway on Wednesday, May 15, and according to a release from the Department of Public Information (DPI), new toshaos, deputy toshaos, senior councillors, and councils have been elected across the various administrative regions.
