Indigenous protest camp erected in Brazilian capital to press land rights

BRASILIA,  (Reuters) – Hundreds of indigenous people began gathering in the Brazilian capital yesterday for a 10-day protest camp to defend their land rights and oppose a government bill in Congress that would allow mining and oil exploration on their reservations.

TTMA Head: Many benefits to be gained from Trinidad-Guyana trade

 (Trinidad Express) Despite the negativity that sometimes surrounds relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana, the business communities in both countries are committed to expanding trade between each other.

Vincentian vessel sinks off Trinidad, 5 crew members missing

(Trinidad Guardian) Five of seven crew members, who were said to be onboard St Vincent and the Grenadines cargo vessel MV Fair Chance when went it overturned in waters just off the Bocas, Trinidad, are still missing.
